Irrigation Timers and Controllers

Our wide range of quality tap timers and controllers are made to the highest standards by international manufacturers such as Orbit, Hunter, Irritrol and Heron, and are suitable for domestic and commercial use.

There are essentially 2 kinds of controller. Firstly, tap timers (either bluetooth or not), which are made to be connected to garden taps and are AA battery powered. They are suitable for small to medium gardens, and sometimes large gardens. Secondly, there are mains (or occasionally 9V battery) powered controllers which are designed to trigger solenoid valves to turn on or off.

For most domestic gardens, a tap timer – either single outlet, double outlet or even multiple tap timers – will do the job.

The exception to this is when pop-up sprinklers for lawns are wanted. In those cases, only a mains or 9v battery powered irrigation controller will do. This is because the controller has to be able to (a) trigger solenoid valves to turn on or off, and (b) trigger a pump to start (if the pump is not automatic).
