Plasson MCP Meter Connection Points and Multiport Manifolds

The Plasson MCP System offers a simple and cost-effective solution for the division of water mains supply and the installation of water meters for individual properties in multi-dwelling buildings, in line with the guidelines of UK water utility companies and the Water Supply (Water Fittings) regulations.

Built to last, Plasson MCP units are constructed from high-grade engineering polypropylene, whilst Plasson Multiport Manifolds are made from PP-RCT. All components comply with UK Water Reg4 through Kiwa KUKreg 4 or WRAS approvals. Combined with our extensive range of Plasson fittings, the Plasson MCP System provides an unrivalled solution for the domestic and commercial mechanical services sector.

The Plasson MCP System consists of 3 main types of components:

– Stand Alone MCP Meter Connection Points. These do not require a multi-port manifold – they are stand alone. They are essentially a WRAS-approved connection assembly for a single concentric water meter, most likely to be used for a single dwelling building. There are 7 variants of them. One is for below ground, six for above ground. They can connect to various pipe types such as 25mm MDPE, 22mm Cu/PB/PEX, Barrier pipe and 15mm Cu/PB/PEX.

– Plasson MCP Multiport Manifolds. These are one-piece multi-port manifolds that can be centre fed or end fed. They have a 2 inch male threaded inlet, suitable for connecting – via the correct fitting – to 50mm or 63mm MDPE, barrier pipe or similar. From 3 to 16 outlets are offered. The spacing of the outlets can be 90mm (for tight spaces) or 130mm. The outlets are always 3/4 inch male thread.

– MCP Meter Connection Points for Multiport Manifolds. These are MCPs that screw on to Multi-port Manifolds. There are 5 variants of these. They all have a 3/4 inch female thread on their inlet side. On the outlet side they can connect to various pipe types such as 25mm MDPE, 32mm MDPE, 28mm Cu/PB/PEX, 22mm Cu/PB/PEX and finally a 3/4 inch female thread.
